After having an unusally hectic week I decided that I'd take it kinda easy on Buster and just lay low. He hadn't felt too good this week and I was just plain worn out from all the worrying about him as well as keeping up with everything else. Well it paid off today.
We just played around inside today and took it easy. Buster spent the biggest part of the day just laying back and playing with his ball and making us laugh. He's back to his old self. As I was getting ready for work tonight, I was in the living room when I looked up and standing at the door was Buster. Now usually when this has happened we'd go outside and just walk around. However this time I paid attention and noticed his look to be different. So I put my shoes on and went outside. All without saying a word.
We were outside walking around in the yard (I had a flashlight with me since the fog is so dense) and Buster was just sniffing around in the front and back yard. We weren't out there too long before I just said "Potty" and he did. I just started praising him and praising him. It wasn't long after that and we were back in the house. My sister and I dried his wet paws and I told her what he'd done. There were lots of hugs and tailwagging then.
As I got ready to leave I bent down to pet him. My sister looked at both of us and said "you know what, he's looking at you as if to say God I love you." She also said that she want's the same kind of relationship with him as I have. I told her "Its yours for the taking. All you have to is reach out and grab it and he'll give it to you. I've been tell you this all this time. Buster wants to give this to both of us not just me." She then asked me how she can become a Pack Leader and want's me to help her. I suggested she start reading the books I have as well as watching the dvd's. Now she's excited.
Between her begin a stubborn old goat (yes I said that ) and Buster being stubborn at times (much like his owner LOL) I think I'm making head way. :)
YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!! This brought a smile to my rainy morning! Keep it up! Soon, everything will start to flow just like this situation. Seriously, BIG CONGRATS TO YOU AND BUSTER! And an extra special congrats to your sister for wanting to get in on the fun too!

Yogafreak.............. do you see it comes together when you relax, when one focuses ssooo hard trying to be the perfect pack leader it doesn't come off, he doesn't care if you're perfect or not.
I truly believe people , situations and our dogs pass through our lives to test us, they teach us tollerance, patience, committing to something instead of bailing when the going gets tough, these are the valuable lessons that you should take in and begin to live by, it will affect all around you.;)
Keep it up mate, encourage your sister, I am glad she has seen the light, it's not magic, it's just honouring the being and common sense, just be and so will Buster. Trust me ;)
peace and light
