I am sorry no one has answered your post....Yes, I feel it iw worth it definitely.

Even seasoned owners such as myself learn something each time. We brought in a new puppy into the house, to stay...as we have multiple dogs come through our rescue shelter home. We have not had a puppy join us for many years, so the puppy lesson is wonderful! I am printing off the sheets to do the work....

I paid the $149 for Sessions with Cesar about 2 months ago.  The information I received was helpful, but I would say that most of the different lessons repeat each other, so only pay for one lesson and not the full 12 months.  It is a waste.  The information that you will receive from one of the sessions, pretty much will give you what you need.  I was able to turn around a few of the issues that I had with an adopted dog.  Not all of them, but a few.  The main problems have been the most severe, so I am still frustrated and confused.

If you want help in the forums, or from "Ask Cesar".....well, good luck with that.  No one helps with specific questions at all.  I have been very disappointed in the forums and have received no answers (even polite refusals) from "Ask Cesar".  I wish I had not paid for the Sessions and just watched more of the NatGeo programing.  You basically get the same info.  Hope this helps.  Buy the book...it is cheaper and more helpful.

None of you should be dissapointed!

If we consequently use the advice given to us by Ceasar , we will succeed, eventually!

He is so clear in his statments and so easy to follow in his given rules, that we can manageafter having seen it on TV or read his books. Ceasar seems to talk directly to my brain and I can use all this information to better handle my huge dogs all the time!! I'm happy with all this advice, though I do not agree to the use of prong collars in some of the programmes. But that is another story.

I'm sorry, but where did you pay all this money? I have not seen this!

I'm just totally happy to have found Ceasar's way, and the TV-Programmes I got as an  x-mas present together with two of his books!!

Keep on following Cearsar's methods and all will be fine!!

with best wishes

I agree with you. We all get out of something what we want. If we are looking for a miracle in a bunch of lessons, we may be disappointed. The real miracle is that we all have it in us already, just waiting to be used!

I have been watching Cesars episodes for years and I too get something new out of them every time. I recently finished "Be The Pack Leader" and I have to say it did even more to help me better understand dogs and myself than the show does. I plan to get all of his books and subscribe to his magazine. As for the lessons, I was thinking of purchasing them but now I'm skeptical as some of the writers here have said it's repetitive. I will just stick with the books for now. I was thinking the lessons might be a good way for me to better handle the dogs I groom in my pet grooming salon. What do you think?

I just mastered the treadmill with my skittish Beagle Carlos after reading Cesar's book and I am a new person because of it. I was almost convinced that I could never do it. But I "just did it" without thinking about it. Now we walk on the treadmill together (something else I thought was impossible until I saw it done on Dog Whisperer). I can't wait to see what else Carlos and I can master with me being his true Pack Leader!

Yep $149 for 12 months, which I really didn't have at the time. I love the training, as it is very similar to the way I have professionaly trained horses for many years. I watch the show whenever it is on and love it. But I am disappointed with the amount of material in the course. I am still happy I bought it though.

I went to see Cesar live here in Australia last year, and part of the package that I got was the online course. I've found it really useful and have printed out heaps of info. I also love watching TDW episodes, but because these are specific to a particular dog and issue, they are different to the course. I've only read "Be the Pack Leader" but have "Cesar's Way" ready to go. I can't get the magazine here unfortunately.

My thinking is that the more different ways you can be given the same message, the better. Everyone learns in different ways too. So I'm sorry for those of you who have been disappointed with the online course. Perhaps with time you will realise you got more from it that you feel at the moment. I hope so!

Thanks for the balanced information about the course, jenpierson2. I will be signing up for this course within the next few weeks and am looking forward to learning as much as possible. I am not expecting it to be a step-by-step, how-to, course. I know that Cesar trains people in the psychology of dogs and how to use that to relate to them in a meaningful and satisfying way.

I wish I had known about Cesar when he came to Australia. I am in the NT and would have happily paid the cost of the Interstate travel to attend one of his seminars. I only discovered his DW program a few weeks ago on a visit to Victoria. I am really, really hoping that he will pay another visit to our shores.

I have read both Cesar's Way and Be The Pack Leader, and found both to be excellent. I have some DVD's on order from his site - I hope! There seems to be some difficulty with the ordering system when trying to order through the International option, but I have telephoned them and hope they can resolve this for me. I subscribed in December to get the magazine via post but so far haven't received any of these. I did get an email saying to allow 6-8 weeks for the first delivery, so hopefully this will arrive soon. I will purchase more of his books shortly, and I also have a link to the National Geographic site where many clips, and some whole episodes of past series of DW can be viewed. Not as good as seeing them on a much larger TV screen but still very good so long as the Internet link is ok.

Cheers,
Sylvia

Good on you Sylvia! Well if you can get the mag in NT then surely I can get it in Qld? Did you order it through the Cesar site? I will go and look.

Seeing Cesar live in Brisbane was amazing. I wasn't really expecting to learn anything much new, and didn't, but just the feeling of being in an entertainment centre with thousands of other fans was great. I had seats close to the front, and because of the package I bought, got to stay for the Q & A session afterward. I made a whole weekend of it and it was the best thing I did last year, away from home. So if you get a chance, go see him. Mind you, there were women in the audience screaming out that the loved him and so on, which was a bit embarassing!

Hahahaha, sounds a bit like Beatlemania! That's if you are old enough to remember it, which I am. Yes, I will certainly be going to see Cesar if he does come back, and wouldn't get anything other than a seat as close as possible to the front - so I can hear over the screams lol. I also think just being with so many like-minded dog lovers would be an amazing experience.

Yes, I ordered the magazine through http://www.cesarsway.com/ go to the Shop link and you'll find it towards the bottom of the list. Good luck.

Cheers,
Sylvia

Hi I have recently signed up for the sessions and already I have been able to put into practice a more positive energy on walking with my 11 month old dog its great he has stopped pulling to sniff at everything he passes already. I think you need to ask yourself more if this is a learning tool you will find useful, I do as I can use my lunch breaks to watch the sessions as I am a busy working mum with 3 children 2 dogs and a husband.
