Hi All -
Okay, I need some advice and/or encouragement here. We've recently added a new puppy to our household. She just turned 5 months the other day, we've had her for about 6 weeks, and she was really ill when we got her. Long story short, she's better now -- but we've basically had to start over from scratch on the ...

Hi, I've been watching Cesar's show for a few weeks now, and last weekend found a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy that we thought would be a good fit for our family of 5. I've had 2 dogs in my life before ( one a husky/lab, and the other a northern breed mix), and both I crate trained with pretty good success. We've had our new pup, Conrad, for 3 ...

Hello Me Me..
First, the gundog breeds sometimes are slower to potty train and he is a baby......at six months he should be neutered, and be sure he is checked for a urinary tract infection and as a good exam. I use the one hour for every month of age. He can come in, go to the crate...then go out again in 15 minutes to finish or to be ...

Within the first week of having her (at 8 weeks) we had to leave her for longer than she could hold her pee. There was no way around it. We are crate training and were told about having a very small area for the dog in the crate. But of ...

Hi..
She needs to be walked in the morning to stimulate her bowels. Many puppies will eliminate after a good run/playtime, ect. I would play ball with her or run her around the yard to encourage her to eliminate outside. Take her for a walk.....
She is imprinting on this area and could pick it up on a paper towel and take it outside ...

My standard poodle is 4 months old. I'm having severe issues housebreaking him! I take him out first thing in the morning, immediately after eating, napping, and every 3 hours in between. When I take him out, he goes quickly. But if I'm just a little bit late taking him out (sometimes only 5 or 10 minutes!) he pees on the carpet. He doesn't ...

I have a 6 month old German Sheppard that was potty trained but when myself and my girlfriend moved in together 3 months ago (who has a 9 month old Pit/Boxer) it began going potty in the house. the pit bull was not potty trained and my German Sheppard quickly gained the bad habit.
After steamcleaning the house to get rid of the scent ...

Hello,
I have two yorkie puppies that are about 5 1/2 months old. I think I confused their training, and I am not sure how to fix it. I live in New England, so our winters can be very cold and bad. I wanted to indoor train the puppies on an indoor potty. I had an indoor potty that has the fake grass and I also was using the piddle pads (just ...
