  • New scared dog

Me and my husband just got Cabela last week from a shelter. She is a great dog but she gets scared quite quickly. This has resulted in her running away, twice and not wanting to interact very often. Everything I read has me addressing this by giving her treats or using commands like stay; unfortunately Cabela is not that intrested in treats and ...

  • Which book should I get?

Hi!  New here and I already have the book ''Cesar's Way''.  I would like to do some more reading for my 10 week puppy.  Which book would help me better with a puppy ''A Member of the Family'' or ''Be the Pack Leader''?  Thanks!  Jennifer

  • Re: I have the perfect dog.

So far, REALLY good!  Thanks guys!  You know, when we got her from the rescue site, they said she was 'probably' 1 1/2 years old.  Due to what our vet first said, her coat, and her actions (chewing, peeing, weight gain...)  I've always guessed she was younger...possibly not even a year old when we got her.  Anyway, after ...
