I have a Yorkie who is a year and three months. I have a few problems with him, and i'm pretty sure that I am the blame for most of it.

2. When we are out side, I call him, he doesnt respond
3. When I open my door he takes off and I have to chase him
4. When in the ...

Me and my husband just got Cabela last week from a shelter. She is a great dog but she gets scared quite quickly. This has resulted in her running away, twice and not wanting to interact very often. Everything I read has me addressing this by giving her treats or using commands like stay; unfortunately Cabela is not that intrested in treats and ...

Hi! New here and I already have the book ''Cesar's Way''. I would like to do some more reading for my 10 week puppy. Which book would help me better with a puppy ''A Member of the Family'' or ''Be the Pack Leader''? Thanks!

Hello,
My family and I just moved intop our new home and we decided to add a puppy to our family. We thought it would be best if we adopted from a rescue since there are so many who need homes. Problem: She's dog agressive, but only when a dog actually approaches her. She is an ''alpha'' and other dogs respond to it. When she was 5 ...

I am going to a dog training school in September and I really want to adopt a second dog to use, and of course keep, for the school. He/she will be the proof of my training, but my current dog who is a 10year old beagle mix hasn't been socialized with other dogs. When she sees other dogs she is very alert and walks towards them like she is ...

I do not have the luxury of walking my dogs on a sidewalk but I do let them out to the yard, approx half acre, I walk from one end of the property to the other end several times in one walking session, these sessions are done 3-4 times a day for 30 minutes each. do I train walking on the leash seperately (5 x) by themselves?

So far, REALLY good! Thanks guys! You know, when we got her from the rescue site, they said she was 'probably' 1 1/2 years old. Due to what our vet first said, her coat, and her actions (chewing, peeing, weight gain...) I've always guessed she was younger...possibly not even a year old when we got her. Anyway, after ...
